Pieces of April
Well, another movie I've wanted to see for a while and I've finally seen it. It's been so long since I've seen a movie. Neville - you were right all along. I loved this movie. Just amazing. The cast was great. I especially loved the grandma who seems to only play senial, weird, old women in the movies I remember her from. This is a story about a girl who's 21 and out on her own. She's never really gotten along with her family...in fact some of them are pretty outgoing with their "dislike" for her. Well her mom has cancer and she invited everyone out to her place for Thanksgiving which is probably going to be her mom's last and is trying to make the perfect dinner. Nothing is going right, everything seems to be going wrong, but everything works out in the end. For those who have seen it....when she goes running down the stairs to meet them I got so excited and then when she opened the door I almost cried. Yes, that's right, I almost cried. And for those of you who know me I think that means a lot. So go out and watch/buy this one. It's hard to describe stuff in here without stopping so I don't think I'm going to start. I think I definately need to watch it again before giving it back to Shorb.

i've been away from a computer for awhile, but chalupa, so glad to hear you loved it. i watched it before i left for l.a. again (my third viewing) and ended up purchasing the soundtrack. the closing song (before the credits) is almost too perfect and so beautiful. oh and i felt the same way at that point when she runs down the stairs and they're not there. i just kept wishing it wasn't true or that they went to park the car or something. you should watch the making-of- (and i hear the commentary, according to shorb, is pretty wonderful too). if i could make a movie, this would be one i'd be very proud of making.
I watched the making of but didn't watch it with commentary. I'm probably going to buy it though sometime if I see it for a decent price. I'm getting excited about next week cause Eternal Sunshine's coming out.
